How OSCR Helps Resolve Conflicts
The Office of Student Conflict Resolution (OSCR) promotes a safe and scholarly community in which students navigate conflict in a peaceful, socially just, and self-reflexive manner. OSCR offers a spectrum of conflict resolution pathways that are educationally focused, student-driven, community-owned, and restorative in nature, which are adaptable to meet the needs of individuals experiencing conflict.
We offer a variety of approaches to accommodate different types of conflicts.
Adaptable Conflict Resolution- when you need help navigating a conflict but you don’t want to get anyone “in trouble.” There are a variety of different ways to approach Adaptable Conflict Resolution including mediation, conflict coaching, and facilitated dialogue.
Issues involving Alcohol and other drugs can be approached differently, depending on the details of the situation.
Sexual and Gender Based Miconduct Response Programs offers a few different ways to handle sexual and gender based issues.
Faculty/Staff and Student conflicts are handled with one-on-one consultations.
